Hannstar J Mv-4 94v-0 Bios Reset

I'm writing from Hondarribia (Pyrenees). Today is 23th june 2009.

On PCs, the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is updatable computer firmware designed to initialize the computer during start prior to handing control to the operating system. Due to the sensitive nature of the system settings controlled by the BIOS, a password can be set by either the computer manufacturer or the end. Oct 23, 2010 HannStar J MV-4 (jumper clearcmos/reset bios) password initial wrong setup bios heeeeeellppp. - Computers & Internet question.

LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK: CCE info NCV-C5H6 (manufactured in Brazil). MOTHERBOARD: HannStar J MV-4.

THE CASE: As soon as I start the laptop/notebook I got this message: 'ENTER PASSWORD'. It is the PHOENIX BIOS PASSWORD. I do not know the BIOS PASSWORD, neither any valid MASTER PASSWORD. I can NOT access the PHOENIX to setup it.

I can NOT BOOT from any UNIT (no HDD, no CD, no USB memory, no Ethernet, no WIFI, no floppy). INFORMATION TO TRY TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE/PROBLEM: Remove the CR2032 battery DOESN´T work. The 'LOOPBACK' trick with a printer type 25pin cable DOESN´T work (it is supposed to work for TOSHIBA laptops, not this case). The BIOS password is stored/memorized in a chip/memory called EEPROM (not EPROM). To reset/erase/change the EEPROM it is needed an electrical impulse, like a little discharge or mini-shortcircuit. Does anybody identify an EEPROM chip-memory in any of the following pictures of the 'HannStar J MV-4' motherboard?: Is it possible to reset/modify an EEPROM with a 9Volt battery?

Does anybody know a way to reset/modify an EEPROM? OTHER POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS: A new motherboard or use the technik 'HOTSWAPPING' to replace just the EEPROM.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP/ATTENTION, a hug, (23th june 2009).

The location of the jumpers or dipswitches may vary; however, here are some locations of the jumpers / dipswitches. • On the edge of the motherboard - Most jumpers are located on the side of the motherboard for easy accessibility, verify by looking at all visible edges of the motherboard. • By the CMOS battery - Some manufactures will place the jumper to clear the CMOS / BIOS password by the actual battery. • By the processor - Some manufactures will place the jumpers by the processor of the computer.

However, note that in some cases these jumpers will be to change the processor and not the password. • Under the keyboard or bottom of laptop - If you are working on a the location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment.

• Other visible location - While it is possible that the jumpers / dipswitches may not be in a visible location, most manufactures try to make things easier by placing the jumpers / dipswitches in another visible location. • Jumpers may also be found underneath or allongside the memory modules.

I hope this helps but suggest that the manufacturers web site or your instruction manual, may have the answer. Posted on Oct 23, 2010. I don't have a solution. But i do need one for the n586 also. I bought it on line the description said that the internal screen will not display and the external does. When i received it and going threw diagnostics i came across a system password in the bios. Earobics Installation.

I have worked on lenovos in the past and i know they have some weird settings in the bios to begin with. I believe this is a security feature that shuts off the internal screen. Will not charge the battery. And will not recognize a fresh install of windows (but will read windows on a hard drive that is preloaded) if i was to try to install windows fresh it will not see the hard drive. I need either a schematic to trace down the eeprom chip,or to locate the cmos jumper(not clearly marked if it has one) OR the original bios flash because there isnt any updates for that yet. The mother board is a Hannstar J mv-4 94-0 1221 Mar 17, 2014 .

You will need to get to the jumpers for bios to be able to reset the password or remove the password, this is easy with a desktop computer, but if you have a laptop but you think you guys can open the laptop and locate the bios or cmos jumpers then go ahead. >On the computer motherboard locate the BIOS clear / password jumper or dipswitch and change its position.
