The magical ‘StoryLand’ that beckons from Main Street is no different – jump inside for the adventure of a lifetime! Five exciting worlds inside StoryLand promise hours of fun for young preschoolers.
By playing learning games and completing magical missions in each world, you will unlock special Storybooks to read and explore. Throughout your adventures, you will be learning and practicing important skills such as being a good friend, expressing yourself and being adventurous.
You will also be practicing many helpful subjects that will prepare you for school, such as letter recognition, letter sounds, number sequence, sorting, visual discrimination and more! Moving Around in StoryLand • • • • • Navigating the Game With so much to explore in StoryLand, it’s no wonder you’re in a hurry to begin!
Use your mouse to get around and get things done. • When the cursor is a white arrow, you can click on the ground where you want to walk. • When the cursor is a speech bubble, you can click to talk to one of your friends. • When the cursor is a hand, you can click on an object to interact with it, or an area to go inside. • When you roll your cursor over something and it wiggles or highlights, it means you can click on it. • You can reach distant objects, people and places by clicking on them from afar when the cursor changes shape. Main Game Interface As you walk around in StoryLand, this is what your screen looks like: • Backpack: Opens your backpack so you can see all the things you have collected and earned.
• Help Button: Gives you information about your mission. • Camera Button: Opens your camera so you can take photos. • Map Button: Opens the map so you can travel to other parts of StoryLand. • Left/Right Arrows: Turns you to the left or right so that you can look around yourself. • Exit Door: Quits the game. The Camera With scenic locations, fun buildings, colorful critters and your own creations found all over StoryLand, there’s plenty you might want to photograph.
Whip out your camera and snap a few pictures to store in your album! • Click on the camera button at the lower right of the JumpStart screen. • Use the arrow buttons on the sides of the screen to move the camera viewfinder. • Click on the + and – buttons to zoom the camera in and out. • Click to take a picture.
• To exit the camera without taking a picture, click on the arrow button in the lower left corner. Photo Gallery You can save your photo if you like it, or throw it in the trash can and take another one. • Click on an empty frame to save your photo. Brilliant Database Activation Key. • To delete a photo, click on the photo, then click on the trash can. You can view and use your photos in places like the Art House or on picture boards. The Map The map lets you visit the different worlds in StoryLand.
It also shows you how much progress you've made on each Storybook. • To use the map, click on the map button at the lower left of the StoryLand screen. • Click on the location you’d like to visit, and you’ll be taken there. • To exit the map without choosing a new location, click on the arrow button in the lower left corner. Surprises In each of the five worlds, there are fun surprises for you to discover. When you see a little closed gate, make sure to step inside and see what lies behind. I wonder what waits for me behind this bright red gate!
Personalizing StoryLand As you spend time in StoryLand, you can start personalizing the entire area. Imagine seeing your favorite drawings displayed on the picture boards and having your favorite songs blaring from the music players. Use the customization spots around StoryLand to make this world your own: • • • • • Decoration Spots There are decoration spots all over StoryLand, where you can put the decorations you earn by playing learning games.With all of the fun decorations you earn playing learning games, you will need a place to put them! That is what these decoration spots are for. Choose from toys, books, candies, balloons and a host of other fun objects to make StoryLand look just the way you want it to. • First, click on a decoration spot.
• In the menu on the left, click on a decoration you’ve earned to pick it up. Serial Audials One 11 Nero. • Click on the left and right arrows in the menu to see more decorations you can use. • Click on the decoration spot where you want to put the decoration, to set it down. • To pick up a decoration you have put someplace, click on it, then click anywhere in the menu on the left to put it away. • Click on the Help button to hear the instructions. • Click on the Back arrow to leave the decoration spot.
