I've seen many posts on this issue but none have helped for our particular situation. We recently installed a new 64-Bit Windows 2012 server and SQL Server 2012 Express.

Our SQL databases were migrated and a linked server that worked very well on our previous SQL Express 2005 with an SBS 2003 server was recreated but fails a connection test on the new server. Here are the specifics: Windows Server 2012 64-Bit, SQL Server 2012 Express 11.0.2100, 32-Bit Simba ODBC driver(64-Bit driver is unavailable) Previous working configuration: Small Business Server 2003, SQL Server 2005 Express Linked Server setup steps taken: Used SysWOW32 ODBCAD32.exe to create the System DSN for the 32-bit driver.
